So far so good!

Drew had his surgery this past Tuesday and came thru like a champ. We stayed a couple days in the hospital, and got home Thursday night. The first night was okay...he was up a lot, but that is to be expected. We lost power on Friday am, finally coming on at 11:30pm. Thank God we have a generator!!!!

Drew is really tired still---he perked up a bit yesterday, but just looks like he feels like crap. We have been outside a lot with the cool reclining wheelchair and have gone on a few walks. He got to watch his cousins play soccer in the field next to our house for a while yesterday. Last night we grilled out and had a fire in our fire pit, with some friends and the Madigan kids.

He is a trooper, and we are very proud of him. I cut some of his tee shirts so he isn't sporting the belly shirt look. That is not a good look on anyone. Grandma is coming over this week and I am going to have her sew velcro on some boxers so he can be dressed but we can still change him.
The kids (and several adults) have started signing his cast...I am still waiting for the creative person to draw legs on the front of his cast, like xray vision!!! Tee heee hee.

Hey My Little M'Andrew!!!

You did it buddy! You are a week post op and doing well. I love your blue jean colored cast. It rocks! I just wish I could be there to sign it.

Hey, how is Scruffy feeling? Is he getting along as well as you are? I am sure he loves to be so close and cuddled by you.

One week down my sweet love. Now you only have three more!!! Whoo hoo! Stay strong, pal. You can do this and when it is all finished, you will be able to move so much better. We are so proud of you.

Give mom and dad big hugs for us. They have done such an amazing job nursing you back to health!!!

Love you too much, Aunt Terri
